What would you highlight about Petit Hostel

The perfect start to a journey

Clean, calm and welcoming! Close enough to catch a boat/bike/bus into Central Bangkok, yet away from the noise and mayhem in the tourist areas. Ridiculous value for money! Also there is great cheap food at the market a 5 minute walk away :)

It's not a party hostel, but the rooftop does make for the perfect spot for a drink or two, with a great view!

What would you highlight about Petit Hostel

Great spot for a short stay for sleep and use laptop.

The communal areas, kitchens, microwave, kettles, free coffee available and the sitting area for dining and using laptop. There was a rooftop terrace I haven't used, but must be a good spot for sunrise admirers.

The internet was unstable often and somehow many many mosquitos got in in the evenings.

The staff was very helpful. We arrived very very early and they were there to let us in. They told us how to get to where we wanted to go. The rooms and restrooms were clean.

Rooftop in Bangkok

The views from the rooftop. The spacious and cool room, which is really important after a day in the crowded city. The cleanliness.

The staff was sometimes a bit hard to find and I couldn't find some of my clothes after hanging them to dry after the laundry, which was bizarre.

The place is quiet, neat and pleasant.

The place is quiet, neat and pleasant. Uncle and Auntie are very helpful and accommodating. It topped my expectation for a 5 dollar per night stay. Truly a value for money. If you are okay to share room with strangers then this place is recommended. They have private room though but rate will be higher. The room where I stay is a female dorm with balcony. It is just beside the shared toilet, though they have toilet on every floor. The rooftop is amazing for overlooking. Free internet every floor even inside the room. They offer filtered drinking water, coffee, tea and instant noodles too. Free use of fridge, microwave and electric kettle. They provide shampoo and body wash as well.

Homely

It was near to all the "tourist" places. It is exactly like your home. The best thing about the hostel is you can check in any time and even after checking out you can stay in the lobby with access to all the facilities. Internet speed is good. In-house laundry machines, FREE CYCLES and SKATEBOARD.

We don't have a control on air conditioning.

What would you highlight about Petit Hostel

Not your home but feels like it

It's price for the spacious room, amenities, quietness and feels like home. Getting to the hostel isn't that bad too as you pass by the scenic river and local neighborhood. The reception lady was very accommodating, like her politeness. I think many would agree the rooftop is best spot to check on the city.

The entrance was dark. I suggest the hostel to make it bright at night

What would you highlight about Petit Hostel

Not an air con property

Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice big common areas. Local buses running to Bangkok centre which are regular and cheap. Good wifi throughout the property. Rooms and communal areas were clean.

The air con was switched off early in the morning until the evening which meant waking up in a boiling hot dorm room. Shouldn't be allowed to advertise as an air con room when it's off 60% of the time. No air con in communal spaces as well so as nice as they are it's impossible to sit in them. Location was quite far from everything. The beds were ridiculously hard and uncomfortable. There was only one toilet and one shower for our floor plus the floor beneath us, that's one bathroom for 16 people! The bathroom was also quite smelly and not very clean. No keys for the room. One front door code then anyone can wander around the hostel as they please so not very secure. Additionally small lockers on the ground floor, none in the room.

Good place in comply with the price

Clean spacious stylish female dorm. Showers are good. Staff is really nice and helpful. 2 kitchens with microwave, fridge, toaster, pot and free tea/coffee/instant noodles.

A/c inside dorm is turned on automatically in the night time only, in the day time you can use fans, but at night it's really cold and you can't make it slowlier or turn it off. Located far from the city center and public transportation, though they provide free bicycles I didn't feel it safe to ride in Bangkok.
